About Thundertone
Thundertone is a fully independent digital music label evolved from two influential netlabel lineages. It aims to deliver devastating beats and destroy the nuclear family. It functions as an umbrella structure and art collective for its active imprints and projects.
The primary lineage, Polkanetwork (est. 2005), began as a self-hosted media platform before formalizing as a netlabel in 2007. The parallel Kreatonika (est. 2008) operated with a similar mandate, curating its own distinct catalog.
The Thundertone Digital project was formed in 2019 by its four founding members (None-Tone, Bassfarmer, PHS & Y8K). This new entity inherited the full Polkanetwork archive. After a merger in 2022, Thundertone integrated the HXAGOON Records imprint, spearheaded by Keiko Dash and itt0, which housed the complete Kreatonika and Psychë Ward catalog.

An art collective is founded. This project spawns the media outlet Unfridge Comics before closing its doors in 2015.
